چکیده
The theoretical approach to a sequential heavy ion double charge exchange reaction is presented. A brief introduction into the formal theory of second-order nuclear reactions and their application Double Single Charge Exchange (DSCE) by distorted wave given, thereby completing background our recent work. Formally, DSCE amplitudes are shown be separable superpositions distortion factors, accounting for initial final state ion–ion interactions, matrix elements. broad space given construction response functions on basis polarization propagator theory. tensors resemble elements 2??? decay in structure but contain general considerable more complex multipole spin structure. QRPA used derive explicit expressions (NMEs). differences between NME first second interaction vertexes elucidated. Reduction schemes transition form factors discussed investigating closure approximation momentum factors. unit strength cross sections derived.

Charge exchange in relativistic heavy ion collisions
Elastic charge-exchange in relativistic heavy ion collisions is responsible for the non-disruptive change of the charge state of the nuclei. We show that it can be reliably calculated within the eikonal approximation for the reaction part. The formalism is applied to the charge-pickup cross sections of 158 GeV/nucleon Pb projectiles on several targets. The relative contributions of pionand rho-...

By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
متن کاملHeavy-ion charge exchange in the eikonal approximation
In high-energy collisions (E,,, > 50 MeV/nucleon) the eikonal approximation provides a transparent description of heavy-ion exchange reactions. The formalism is applied to the reaction ‘3N(‘3C, 13N)13C at 70 MeV/nucleon. The relative contributions of pionand rho-exchange are determined. It is found that heavy-ion reactions are more sensitive to the one-pion exchange component of the interaction...
